The Second Season is Better!

I’m not sure what changes were made if any, but I am enjoying the second season much more than I did the first. I found the first season mildly entertaining, but in the second season, I have become invested in the characters. The mysteries seem more clever, and the writing is more humorous and sharper. As always, the scenery is the star of the show, and they have toned down the filters, thank God.

In response to some of the comments on Miranda’s personality, if you are a woman, are you only allowed to be grumpy and strident if you are middle-aged and average-looking like Vera? The female partner is young and pretty. Heaven forbid she be anything but smiley and pleasing. I like that sometimes it is she that solves the crime and others it is the male partner. It’s a very fun and light show like Death in Paradise. Sadly it doesn’t look like there will be a season 3. I’m still hoping.
